Solarium

The Solarium is a great tool for all horses, but is ideal for horses that are not able to turn out, or are on stall rest. The Ultra Violet lights offer the benefits of sunshine. Sunlight stimulates the immune system, promotes healing, and provides Vitamin D. Vitamin D is needed for the absorption of calcium and phosphates, the building blocks of strong and healthy bones. The infrared lights and heat blowers deliver a warm penetrating heat that stimulates circulation, relaxes muscles, and eases back pain. The infrared heat increases the metabolic activity of cells resulting in capillary dilation. This in turn increases blood flow through the body bringing oxygen and nutrients to the cells. The increased circulation improves muscle elasticity, which helps reduce injuries, and speeds up the recovery process.
